Clear Answers. Accurate Diagnosis. Personalized Care.
Struggling with focus, attention, or impulsivity can impact every part of life—from school and work to relationships and self-confidence. What may appear as procrastination or lack of motivation is often a deeper struggle with organization, time management, and mental overwhelm—challenges that can quietly erode confidence and increase stress over time. Understanding the root cause is essential to moving forward with the right support.
At Lasting Serenity Telepsychiatry, INC, we offer comprehensive ADHD testing and diagnostic evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults. Our evaluations combine clinical expertise with QbTest, an FDA-cleared, objective assessment tool, to help patients gain clarity and move forward with confidence.
A proper diagnosis is the foundation for effective treatment. Our structured evaluation process ensures symptoms are carefully assessed and accurately identified.
What Is QbTest?
QbTest is an FDA-cleared, objective assessment that measures the three core symptom domains of ADHD:
- Inattention
- Impulsivity
- Hyperactivity
QbTest is used to support ADHD evaluations and to help measure response to ADHD treatment over time.
The assessment involves a 15–20 minute computer-based task that evaluates your (or your child’s) ability to maintain attention and control impulses. During the task, an infrared camera tracks physical movement, providing an objective measurement of activity level.
Test results are generated by comparing performance to age- and sex-matched individuals without ADHD, offering valuable insight that supports diagnostic accuracy and informed treatment planning.
What Should You Expect From an ADHD Evaluation?
An ADHD diagnostic assessment involves three essential components designed to provide a complete clinical picture:
-
Comprehensive Clinical Interview
Your provider will conduct an in-depth interview to gather:
- Personal, academic, and work history
- Current symptoms and concerns
- Developmental and mental health background
- Family history and lifestyle factors
This step helps us understand how symptoms affect daily functioning over time.
-
Objective ADHD Assessment With QbTest
As part of the evaluation, we may use QbTest to provide an objective measurement of attention, impulsivity, and activity level. This data complements the clinical interview and rating scales, adding measurable insight to support diagnostic clarity.
QbTest results help your provider:
- Assess symptom severity
- Identify patterns consistent with ADHD or ADD
- Distinguish ADHD from conditions with overlapping symptoms such as anxiety, depression, or trauma
- Inform accurate diagnosis and personalized treatment planning
(Specific assessment tools are selected based on age, clinical needs, and telehealth suitability.)
-
Rating Scales & Behavioral Screenings
Patients (and when appropriate, parents or caregivers) complete standardized rating scales that assess:
- Attention and focus
- Impulsivity and activity level
- Emotional regulation
- Daily functioning across settings
These results are compared with age-appropriate norms to support diagnostic accuracy.
What Is ADHD?
Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental condition characterized by patterns of inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity that interfere with daily life. Symptoms often begin in childhood but can persist into adulthood.
What Is ADD?
Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) refers to attention-related difficulties without significant hyperactivity. Individuals with ADD may appear calm but struggle with focus, organization, and task completion—often going undiagnosed, especially in adults and women.
Who Should Consider ADHD Testing?
ADHD testing may be helpful if you or your child experiences:
- Difficulty sustaining attention or completing tasks
- Chronic disorganization or forgetfulness
- Restlessness or impulsive behavior
- Academic or workplace performance challenges
- Emotional frustration related to focus and productivity
- Symptoms have been present since childhood or adolescence
Evaluations are available for children, teens, and adults.
What Do QbTest Results Look Like?
QbTest results are presented in a clear, visual report that summarizes attention, impulsivity, and activity levels. Graphs compare performance to age- and sex-matched norms, helping providers quickly identify patterns consistent with ADHD and track changes over time.
